Defence Wills

ADF members must have a legal will before deploying on overseas operations.

ADF members can approach the Legal Officer attached to their unit to prepare a personal will or a joint will with a recognised partner.

You can lodge wills with the Department of Defence. In the event the Will is required, if the Will of a deceased member is held by the Department of Defence the Defence Community Organisation Headquarters will locate the Will and the DCO Manager of Deceased Estates will follow up with the Executor.
