Health Research relating to ADF members and families

The Department of Defence and the Department of Veterans' Affairs sponsor the Centre for Military and Veterans’ Health (CMVH).

CMVH is a collaboration of The University of Queensland, the University of Adelaide and Charles Darwin University. The locations of these academic centres correspond with the key population areas of ADF members across Queensland, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

CMVH aspires to lead development and promotion of innovative solutions to improve health, wellbeing and human performance and achieve best practice in health service delivery for the military and veteran communities, in collaboration with the wider community, through research, lifelong learning programs and public debate.

CMVH is an independent organisation that sits outside of Defence and therefore, all participants can be assured of complete confidentiality. No information about specific individuals will be made available to anyone within the Defence system or elsewhere without his or her specific consent. Only summarised results of data gathered will be passed on to Defence and published in scientific literature.
