National Education Policy

Defence Families of Australia has long campaigned for changes in national education policy such as the implementation of a National Curriculum for Australian primary and secondary schools. It is actively consulting with the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority.

The DCO Manager Education Policy and Special Needs (MEPSN) also contributes to National and State/Territory education debates and forums in the interests of Defence parents and the education of their children. He or she raises awareness of the challenges of the mobile lifestyle and the impact of mobility on educational outcomes.
